Colourless lab-grown sapphires form a sculptural cascade, beginning with a cushion-cut stone and an east-west oval before falling to a luminous freshwater pearl. The unexpected proportions bring a modern edge to the classic pearl drop. Striking, refined and distinctly Silfira.

If a parcel is returned due to an incorrect address or being unclaimed, reshipping costs will apply.

THE DESIGN

Three deliberate decisions.

LAB-GROWN SAPPHIRE

We chose lab-grown sapphire for its clarity, brilliance and durability. It has the same chemical and physical properties as mined sapphire, created in a controlled environment rather than taken from the ground. Its clean, colourless appearance lets light through the setting without competing for attention, so the structure of the design reads first and the stones read as pure light.

THE EAST-WEST OVAL

An oval is expected to hang vertically. Turning it on its side is a deliberate decision. It interrupts the vertical line of the traditional pearl drop and makes the eye pause. The bezel wraps the stone in one unbroken edge, drawing a clean, contemporary, sculptural line that gives the design its edge.

THE BAROQUE PEARL

A perfectly round pearl would have been the obvious choice. We chose an organic baroque freshwater pearl instead, for its individuality, its softness and the way it moves. Its irregular surface is the counterpoint to the clean geometry of the bezel-set sapphires above it.

Together, the contrast is what makes the piece: contemporary yet timeless, dramatic yet romantic.
