Silfira is a demi-fine jewellery brand built on refined elegance and modern sophistication, designed in Perth. We create for the refined woman who is coming into herself, unapologetically. The one who elevates an outfit in a single gesture: a pair of earrings, a pearl at the collarbone, a piece that completes the look. Jewellery that feels classy yet sensual. Elegant, with an old-money sensibility.
A girl in the bead shops, losing hours.
I have always loved jewellery. Pearls, especially. As a girl I would lose hours in bead shops, gathering pretty pieces that could come together and become something beautiful.
While studying my Bachelor of Psychology, I was making necklaces, bracelets and earrings and selling them in my dad and step-mum's furniture and art shop. Even then, jewellery was never a hobby. It was the thing I kept returning to.
Life, as it does, took me elsewhere first.
I worked as a mental health case manager for two years, then realised I had barely lived, so I quit and travelled through Europe with a girlfriend. When I came home, I trained as a teacher and taught for twelve years. Even there, jewellery found me. I ran jewellery-making as an elective for my high school students, still finding my way back to the thing I loved.
I chose the passion.
After having my two beautiful children, I reached a crossroads: return to teaching, which I was good at and enjoyed, or finally give my passion a real chance. With the encouragement of my husband and my dad, I chose the passion.
I started designing with my six-year-old daughter by my side, mimicking everything I did. She still sits next to me, sketching her own designs and playing with the pearls. When I am designing, it does not feel like work. I am completely immersed. And now, the part I love most: talking with the Silfira community about the pieces they love. It fills my heart.
Where Silfira is made.
I spent a year searching for the right manufacturers, and it is still a process I am refining and fine-tuning. Our pieces are crafted across Italy, India, Thailand and Hong Kong, with partners I choose for being ethical, sustainable and RJC-certified, working only to top-grade professional quality.
It is a careful process of making sure our customers receive top-quality pieces that are true to my designs, and to the functionality, wearability and values of Silfira.
Silfira found us on one of our steak nights, my husband is an incredible cook, over red wine, with the kids playing nearby. We came across the word, I read its meaning, looked at my daughter and thought: yes. That is it.
You do not have to be the loudest to be the most powerful in the room. It is your inner flame, your strength and authenticity as your superpower.

From the very beginning, I knew Silfira had to give back in a way that was meaningful and real. 5% of every Silfira sale is donated to Worthy Australia, a not-for-profit supporting women and children escaping domestic violence. Its founder, Jennifer, started Worthy from her garage, collecting furniture and household items to set up safe homes for families rebuilding their lives.
Before Silfira, I worked at Ruah Community Services, referring women to refuge for safety from domestic violence. To now give back through the brand I built feels completely full circle. This is why our motto is jewellery worn with purpose. Every piece you wear directly supports these women and children.
